ஸ்ரீ திரெளபதை அம்மன் தீமித் திருவிழா சிறப்பாக நடைபெற கொடியேற்றத்துக்கு முதல் நாள் காலையில் பூச்சொரிதல் விழாவும் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கரகமும். காவல் தெய்வமாக விளங்குகின்ற ஸ்ரீ மதுரை வீரன், ஸ்ரீ காதவராயர், ஸ்ரீ வீரபத்திரர் ஆகிய சுவாமிகளுக்கு பாளை சூலியும். ஸ்ரீ பெரியாச்சி அம்மனுக்கு அக்னி கப்பறை சமர்பித்து மிக விசேஷமான சிறப்பு மிகு படையல் பூஜை நடத்து பட்டு உலக நன்மைக்காகவும் தீமித்திருவிழா சிறப்பாக நடைபெறவும் பிரார்த்தித்து நடத்தபடுகின்ற பூஜைகள் ஆகும்.

The day before the Flag Raising for Sri Draupadai Amman’s Fire-walking Festival, flowers are offered in heaps in the morning and prayers are performed for the Karagam (decorated head pot). Coconut flower swathes are offered to the guardian deities Sri Madurai Veeran, Sri Kathavarayar and Sri Veerabadrar. Fire pots are offered to Sri Periyachi Amman. A very special offering and worship is conducted so that the Fire Walking Festival may proceed smoothly without any hitches.
