INFORMATION ON THEEMITHI (FIREWALKING) FESTIVAL 2023

• The annual Theemithi (Firewalking) festival will take place on Sunday, 5 November 2023 at Sri Mariamman Temple, South Bridge Road.
• Kodiyetram (Hoisting of festival flag) is scheduled on Monday, 21 August 2023 to signify the start of Theemithi (Firewalking) Festival 2023.
• Online registration is mandatory for all devotees who are fulfilling their vows both for pre-events and on Theemithi (Firewalking) Day. There is no direct walk-in sale of tickets on all days.
• Devotees are encouraged to watch the livestream of various rituals relating to Firewalking Festival on HEB’s YouTube and Facebook sites from Sunday, 20 August 2023 to Sunday, 5 November 2023. Click here to view the playlist.
• We regret to inform you that this event has a no refund and no cancellation policy. We encourage you to review all event details, including the date, time, location, before completing your registration. Changes to bookings may not be possible.
• Due to unforeseen circumstances, the organisers reserve the right to make changes to event format including but not limited to date, time and location. Any such changes will be communicated through HEB’s website, Facebook and Instagram or registered attendees contact numbers.

Details of Online Registration

• ONLINE REGISTRATION is required for pre-events (Paalkudam, Angaprathachanam, Kumbiduthandam) and for participation on Theemithi (Firewalking) Day.
• Online registration for pre-events and Theemithi (Firewalking) will open on Monday, 25 September 2023 and close on Saturday, 4 November 2023 at 11:00pm.
• All pre-events like Paalkudam, Angaprathachanam, and Kumbiduthandam will start from Saturday, 21 October 2023.
  
• Registered devotees are advised to come only 30 minutes before their designated time slot. Those who come too early will not be allowed to enter till their designated timeslot.
• Devotees registering online to participate will receive an Email and SMS confirmation upon successful booking and payment made. E-Payment options are provided on the registration portal.
• As booking is on a first come first serve basis, participants are urged to register early. Changes to bookings may not be possible.

General Conditions of Participation

• Only registered participants are allowed to fulfil their vows. Booking is only deemed confirmed upon successful online payment.
• To participate in the respective pre-event(s), registration confirmation (SMS or E-mail notification) must be shown to enter Sri Mariamman Temple and Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple respectively.
• Devotees will have an option to offer either temple prepared paalkudams or self-prepared paalkudams.
• Devotees offering self-prepared paalkudams need to prepare their paalkudams at home as space within the Temple is limited.
• Devotees who are are fulfilling their religious vows for Angaprathatchanam and Kumbiduthandam are encouraged to circumambulate a maximum of 3 rounds. This will allow other devotees at the respective time slots to fulfill their religious vows in a timely manner.

Conditions specifically for the day of Theemithi (5 November 2023)

Male

• Male devotees crossing the firepit on Sunday, 5 November 2023 can only register to collect their wristband and kanganam at the stipulated time slots and venue:
• • Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple (PGP Hall) – Available time slots: 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm
• Male devotees will not be allowed to collect their wristbands and kanganam at Sri Mariamman Temple.
• Those below the age of 16 years and female devotees are not permitted to walk on the fire pit.
• Male devotees who are between 16 to 20 years of age must proceed to Sri Mariamman Temple in the evenings from Saturday, 14 October 2023 between 7pm to 9pm with their parent or legal guardian to verify and register their participation before 29 October 2023.
• Devotees crossing the fire pit will not be allowed to carry offerings such as garlands or ceremonial objects.

Female

• Female devotees are only allowed to go around the firepit to fulfil their vow.
• Female devotees circumambulating the fire pit on Sunday, 5 November 2023 and Monday, 6 November 2023 can only register to collect their wristband and kanganam at the stipulated time slots and venue:

தீமிதித் திருவிழா 2023 பற்றிய தகவல்கள்

• ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் நடக்கும் தீமிதித் திருவிழா இவ்வாண்டு வரும் நவம்பர் 5ஆம் தேதி, ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை அன்று, செளத் பிரிட்ஜ் சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ள ஸ்ரீ மாரியம்மன் கோயிலில் நடைபெறும்.
• தீமிதித் திருவிழாவின் தொடக்கத்தை குறிக்கும் கொடியேற்றம் வரும் திங்கட்கிழமை, 21ஆம் ஆகஸ்ட் 2023 தேதியன்று நடைபெறும்.
• தீமிதித் திருவிழா நாளன்றும் அதற்கு முந்தைய நிகழ்வுகளிலும் நேர்த்திக்கடனை செலுத்த விரும்புவோர், அதற்கென கட்டாயமாக முன்கூட்டியே பதிவு செய்துகொள்ள வேண்டும். எல்லா நாட்களிலும் கோயில் வளாகத்தில் இதற்கான பதிவு சீட்டுகளை நேரடியாக வந்து வாங்க முடியாது.
• தீமிதித் திருவிழா தொடர்பான வெவ்வேறு சடங்குகளின் நேரலையை இந்து அறக்கட்டளை வாரிய ‘யூடியூப்’ மற்றும் ‘ஃபேஸ்புக்’ பக்கங்களில் வரும் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை,  ஆகஸ்ட் 20ஆம் தேதி முதல் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை, நவம்பர் 5ஆம் தேதி வரையில் காண பக்தர்கள் ஊக்குவிக்கப்படுகின்றனர். முழுமையான விழா சடங்குகளின் நேரலை பட்டியலை அறிய, இங்கே ‘கிளிக்’ செய்யவும்.

இணைய பதிவுமுறை விவரங்கள்

• பால்குடம் செலுத்துதல், அங்கப்பிரதட்சணம், குடும்பிடுதண்டம் போன்ற முன்னோட்ட நிகழ்வுகளுக்கும் தீமிதித் திருநாளில் பூக்குழியை கடப்பதற்கும், அதனைச் சுற்றி வலம் வருவதற்கும் இணையத்தில் கட்டாயமாக முன்பதிவு செய்துகொள்ள வேண்டும்.
• தீமிதித் திருநாளுக்கும் அதற்கு முந்தைய விழா நிகழ்வுகளிலும் நேற்றிக்கடனை செலுத்த விரும்பும் பக்தர்கள், வரும் செப்டம்பர் மாதம் 25ஆம் தேதி, திங்கட்கிழமை முதல் முன்பதிவு செய்துகொள்ளலாம். முன்பதிவுக்கான இச்சேவை வரும் நவம்பர் 4ஆம் தேதி, இரவு 11:00 மணி வரையில் நீடிக்கும்.
• பால்குடம் செலுத்துதல், அங்கப்பிரதட்சணம், குடும்பிடுதண்டம் போன்ற முன்னோட்ட நிகழ்வுகள் எல்லாம் வரும் அக்டோபர் 21ஆம் தேதி முதல் நடைபெறும்..
  
• முன்பதிவு செய்துகொண்ட பக்தர்கள் தங்களுக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட நேரத்திற்கு 30 நிமிடங்களுக்கு முன்பே கோயிலுக்கு வந்தால் போதுமானது. அதற்கும் முன்பதாக வரும் பக்தர்கள் முன்கூட்டியே நேற்றிக்கடனை செலுத்த இயலாது, அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட  நேரத்திற்காக காத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
• கட்டணம் செலுத்தி, வெற்றிகரமாக இணையத்தில் விழா நிகழ்வுகளுக்கு பதிவு செய்யும் பக்தர்களுக்கு குறுஞ்செய்தியும் (SMS) மின் அஞ்சலும் அனுப்பப்படும். பதிவு செய்யும் இணையத் தளத்தில் பல்வேறு மின்-கட்டண தெரிவுகள் உள்ளன.
• முன்னரே பதிவு செய்பவர்களுக்கு முன்னுரிமை என்பதால், எல்லா பங்கேற்பாளர்களும் சீக்கிரமாக பதிவு செய்யுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றனர். பதிவு செய்த பிறகு, ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட நேரத்தை மாற்ற இயலாது.

பங்கேற்பதற்கான விதிமுறைகள்

• கோயிலினுள் நுழைந்து நேற்றிக்கடனை செலுத்த பதிவு செய்த நபருக்கு மட்டுமே அனுமதி உண்டு. இணையத்தில் வெற்றிகரமாக கட்டணம் செலுத்திய பிறகே, முன்பதிவு உறுதியானதாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும்.
• விழாவின் முன்னோட்ட நிகழ்வுகளில் கலந்துகொள்ள, ஸ்ரீ மாரியம்மன் ஆலயத்திலும் ஸ்ரீ      ஸ்ரீநிவாசப் பெருமாள் ஆலயத்திலும் முன்பதிவு செய்ததற்கு ஆதாரமான குறுஞ்செய்தி (SMS) அல்லது மின்அஞ்சலை ஆலய அதிகாரியிடம் காண்பிக்க வேண்டும். அதன் பிறகே, கோயிலுக்குள் பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் நுழைய அனுமதிக்கப்படுவர்.
• கோயில் தயாரித்த பால்குடம் அல்லது சுயமாக தயாரித்த பால்குடத்தை நேர்த்திக்கடனாக செலுத்த பக்தர்கள் தெரிவு செய்யலாம்.

• தீமிதித் திருவிழாவில் கும்பிடுதண்டம், அங்கபிரதட்சணம் ஆகியவற்றில் பங்கேற்கும் பக்தர்கள் அதிகபட்சமாக மூன்று முறை மட்டுமே கோயிலை சுற்றிவரும்படி கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றனர். இவ்வாறு செய்வதால் எல்லா பக்தர்களும் தங்களுக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட நேரத்தில் தாமதமின்றி நேர்த்திக்கடனை செலுத்த முடியும்.

தீமிதித் திருவிழா (5 நவம்பர் 2023) அன்று கடைபிடிக்க வேண்டிய விதிமுறைகள்

• நவம்பர் 5ஆம் தேதி, ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை அன்று பூக்குழியை கடக்கும் ஆண் பக்தர்கள் அனுமதி வளையல் (ரிஸ்பேண்ட்) , கங்கணத்தை கீழ்வரும் இடத்தில், அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட நேரங்களில், மட்டுமே பதிவு செய்து பெற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம்:
  • ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீநிவாசப் பெருமாள் கோயில் (பிஜிபி மண்டபம்) – அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட நேரம்: மாலை 4 மணி, மாலை 5 மணி, மாலை 6 மணி, மாலை 7 மணி, இரவு 8 மணி
• ஸ்ரீ மாரியம்மன் கோயிலில் அனுமதி வளையல் (ரிஸ்பேண்ட்)  மற்றும் கங்கணத்தை பக்தர்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது.
• 16 வயதுக்கும் கீழ்பட்டவர்களும் பெண் பக்தர்களும் பூக்குழியை கடந்து வருவதற்கு அனுமதி கிடையாது.
• 16 வயதுக்கும் 20 வயதுக்கும் இடைப்பட்ட பக்தர்கள் பூக்குழியை கடப்பதாக இருந்தால் வரும் அக்டோபர் 14ஆம் முதல் அக்டோபர் 29ஆம் வரை, இரவு 7 மணி முதல் இரவு 9 மணியிலான நேரத்தில் தங்களது பெற்றோர் அல்லது காப்பாளருடன் (கார்டியன்) ஸ்ரீ மாரியம்மன் கோயிலுக்கு வ ந்து, விவரங்களை உறுதி செய்துகொண்டு திருவிழாவுக்கு பதிவு செய்துகொள்ளலாம்.
• பூக்குழியைக் கடக்கும் பக்தர்கள் பூ மாலை அல்லது பூஜை பொருட்களை எடுத்துச் செல்ல அனுமதி கிடையாது.

• பெண் பக்தர்கள் தங்களது நேர்த்திக்கடனை செலுத்தும் வகையில் பூக்குழியை வலம் வருவதற்கு அனுமதிக்கப்படுவர்.
• வரும் நவம்பர் 5ஆம் தேதி, ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை, மற்றும் நவம்பர் 6ஆம் தேதி, திங்களன்று, பூக்குழியை சுற்றிவரும் பெண் பக்தர்கள் தங்களது அனுமதி வளையல் (ரிஸ்பேண்ட்) , கங்கணத்தை கீழ்வரும் இடத்தில், அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட நேரங்களில், மட்டுமே பதிவு செய்து பெற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம்:
  • ஸ்ரீ மாரியம்மன் கோயில் (கல்யாண மண்டபம் – முதல் மாடி)  – அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட நேரம்: இரவு 11 மணி (5/11/2023), நள்ளிரவு 12 மணி (6/11/2023), அதிகாலை 1 மணி (6/11/2023)
